Unveiling the psychological, economic and cultural barriers and motivators for planting trees, engaging biodiverse habitat restoration initiatives and rewilding communities in Ireland today.
I hope to examine the relationship between the human psyche and its relationship with nature. I want to understand the importance of woodland environments to the human condition, how it affects stress, anxiety, individual and collective development. With your help, we will collect data concerning the idea that collective engagement in the replanting and rewilding process of Ireland could alleviate feelings of anxiety, disconnection, and helplessness young people are experiencing towards nature and the world in general in the age of Anthropocene. What are the barriers and motivators people experience when planting trees in Ireland today.
