A common practice of educational institutions, whether it be at the secondary or tertiary levels, is to have students work in groups to complete given assignments. Often, teachers and lecturers offer students no oprion, they are compelled to work in these groups. But are students always confortable with these impositions?
Like any controversial issue the question of working in groups will have its ros and cons. Arguments for working alone will suggest that the student has greater control of the process:she can be more efficient and work in her own time and so on.
On the ther hand the arguments in favour of group work suggest that group members benefit from a variety of perspectives, improve their negotiating skills, learn to manage personalities, improve their vocabulary and learn to leverage the talent among their peers among others.
In this research the objective is to determine whether prefer or do not prefer to work in groups.
