In AIT-580, I include one brief module on the ethics and laws relating to data analytics. I don't think just one such session is sufficient, given the recent attention to the potential misuses of AI, machine learning, and big data collection. I am proposing to re-offer AIT-679: Big Data Law, Policy, and Ethics for the Spring 2021 semester. While I believe this is a critical and perhaps even a required part of the DAEN program instruction for future data analysts, we need to understand the level of interest in such a course.
